King Industries breaks ground on chosen Waterbury site
Tecton Architects selected to design
new high-tech facility
King Industries, a Norwalk-based specialty chemical manufacturer, has selected Tecton Architects to design a new manufacturing campus in Waterbury.
Tecton’s Hartford location has facilitated close relationships with major local employers, while supporting business growth in valued surrounding communities. Tecton’s involvement in the Brass City continues to grow, following a recent partnership with Saint Mary’s Hospital.
“The opportunity to work with a client who values their people, local communities and job creation really builds on our commitment to Connecticut businesses and our own skilled team. We truly enjoy working with King, and look forward to creating a facility that will be the modern hallmark of Waterbury Industrial Commons.”
Ted Cutler, Principal and CEO
The specialized 90,000 SF facility on 11 acres will include process infrastructure, manufacturing, labs and warehousing. Working with O&G Industries, IDEA Engineering and Milone & MacBroom, the campus will be delivered in phases, starting with a substantial land preparation effort currently underway.
