In a bittersweet but rewarding turn, Tecton had the opportunity to redesign the space that the firm occupied for more than 30 years in Hartford’s historic Atlantic Screw Works building. Tecton worked with new tenant Connecticut Green Bank to create a space that reflects the organization’s spirit and mission to energize Connecticut’s green economy. The project included demolition and substantial modifications to the existing layout and building systems, while retaining the building’s original wood beams and exposed brick. The layout reflects a combination of enclosed and open workspace, while finish and furniture selections complement Connecticut Green Bank’s vibrant wall graphics, depicting icons of innovation and sustainability.
