A decade after completing the North Brookfield Police Station, Tecton was selected to help craft a similar path forward for the Fire Department as they explore a transition from a volunteer to paid department and create facilities that support a diverse staff. Initially envisioned as a new construction project, the Town ultimately elected to renovate their existing Fire and DPW facilities to best meet the needs of the community. The existing Fire & Rescue Headquarters will be expanded into an improved meeting, training and living space. The former highway department building on site will also be renovated for storing apparatus and other response vehicles. An auto repair garage on
an existing Town-owned property will be renovated to serve as the future home of the Public Works department.
This project is currently in design.
