Leamy Hall is a 1969 four-story building with a 1,500-seat auditorium on the grounds of the United States Coast Guard Academy. The facility regularly hosts public functions, performances by the Coast Guard Band, and ceremonies attended by high ranking officials, including the President of the United States. Tecton led an extensive renovation of the auditorium, focused on the interior appearance, acoustics, sound system, lighting, accessibility and code compliance. The completed auditorium features gently curved wood panels in a light natural finish applied horizontally to the lower portion of the walls of the hall and the entire height and ceiling of the stage. This treatment provides significant acoustical and aesthetic enhancement to the hall.
