Designing for Future Police Operations

Following a successful renovation of the Main Fire Station in Wilbraham, Tecton was contracted to provide design services for the town’s new police station. Tecton began with a feasibility study to determine the best available options for relocating, expanding and updating the existing facility. The new police station moves operations to a site adjacent to the Wilbraham Main Fire Station, helping to consolidate the town’s public safety resources along a main corridor. To provide a modern police facility that effectively serves the community for years to come, Tecton’s design provides contemporary workspaces, interview areas, decontamination facilities and prisoner areas, with an efficient floor plan and enhanced security. The building also includes a multi-purpose community room to create opportunities for public use and engagement.
