Field trip! Our team visited Cheshire’s two new elementary schools to see the latest construction progress. Tecton Architects is proud to celebrate the groundbreaking of two transformational school projects in Rhode Island that will serve students, educators, and communities for generations to come. The new Robert F. Kennedy PreK-8 School in the City of Providence and Town of Barrington, RI school construction program, including a renovated high school with an addition and three renovate as new elementary schools serving Pre-K through Grade 5. These projects represent significant investments in the future of learning, creating modern, student-centered environments designed to support their academic achievement, well-being and safety. Together, they will provide innovative educational spaces that meet the evolving needs of today’s learners while strengthening the communities they serve. Congratulations to everyone involved. Action!, is a powerful reminder of the role public health plays in shaping healthier, safer, and more resilient communities. Public health touches every aspect of our daily lives, including designing environments where people can truly thrive. At #TeamTecton, we embraced the spirit of NPHW through a series of engaging, wellness-focused activities across our offices. Our team came together for a “Tec Talk” exploring sustainability and the impact of nature in the built environment, a popcorn bar with a documentary of ‘What Design Can Do’ highlighting biophilic design, and a hands-on DIY succulent pot activity. We also encouraged mindfulness and movement through guided morning meditations and daily walks, reinforcing the connection between design, health, and community. Last week, the ACE Mentor Program of Connecticut celebrated its annual Scholarship and Mentor Awards Ceremony, and Tecton Architects was thrilled to be part of this significant event. We are proud to announce that two exceptional members of the Tecton Hartford team, Emma Cicciarella and Alyzabeth Halmers, were awarded the CT ACE Scholarship. Congratulations to them for their remarkable achievements! We also wish all scholarship recipients the best as they embark on their journeys in the AEC industry. A sincere thank you goes to the mentors for their unwavering commitment to fostering the next generation, which greatly contributed to the evening’s success. Tecton Architects is pleased to announce that it has joined Agathos AEC, a leading platform in the architecture and engineering sector. The partnership expands Agathos AEC’s architectural design capabilities and establishes a regional footprint in the Northeast, while providing Tecton with access to broader resources, complementary expertise and new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
