ANNOUNCEMENT

Tecton Architects joins Agathos AEC in Strategic Partnership

Tecton Architects is pleased to announce that it has joined Agathos AEC, a leading platform in the architecture and engineering sector. The partnership expands Agathos AEC’s architectural design capabilities and establishes a regional footprint in the Northeast, while providing Tecton with access to broader resources, complementary expertise and new opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Agathos AEC is a growth platform focused on partnering with and empowering architecture, engineering and specialty design firms across the United States. The platform provides business infrastructure, technology and expert operational support, allowing its partner firms to focus on their people, clients, project delivery and growth. Through its three existing companies, Agathos AEC currently offers architecture; structural, civil and MEP engineering; lighting design; fire protection; and surveying services. Tecton’s addition brings architecture, interior design and master planning capabilities to the platform in the Northeast as Agathos AEC continues to build an integrated national presence.

For Tecton’s clients, the partnership provides the benefits of:

  • More resources focused on client service and great work.
  • Broader expertise and capabilities for increasingly complex projects.
  • Greater long-term stability and an enhanced ability to attract and retain top talent.
  • The same personal attention, design focus, culture and values they have come to expect.

“Tecton is a landmark partnership for Agathos AEC,” noted John Buergler, CEO of Agathos AEC. “As our first pureplay architecture partner, Tecton adds a marquee design capability that complements our engineering disciplines and enables a truly integrated, multi-disciplinary offering for our clients. Their leadership in education and public-safety design, strong New England footprint, and remarkable record of repeat business make them an ideal strategic and cultural fit. With Tecton, Agathos AEC is expected to break into the top 350 of the Engineering News-Record (ENR) 500 — a notable milestone reached in just over six months since the platform’s founding.”

Tecton’s executive principals — Ted Cutler, Jeffrey Wyszynski, and Jeffery McElravy — will continue to lead the firm, supported by an energized next generation of leaders. As part of this next chapter, Tecton is pleased to announce the following promotions:

  • Principal: Justin Hopkins, Rebecca Hopkins, Nina Lapinski, Jennifer Saari and Matt Salad
  • Associate Principal: Tim Mailloux, Antonia Ciaverella and Kathryn Mease
  • Associate: Laurel Boroughf

These expanded leadership roles reflect the team’s shared enthusiasm for Tecton’s future and create opportunities for its next generation to help shape the firm and participate across the broader partnership.
